Privacy policy

What we collect

Account details you give us: name, email and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider) or your Google sign-in identity.

Profile details you choose to fill in: date of birth, country, state, district, category, family income, gender, disability status, school or college, course, degree level, class or semester, marks, entrance exams, skills and interests. These exist only to calculate eligibility and match scores.

Files you upload to your Document Locker.

Activity needed to run the product: scholarships you save, apply to, compare or recently viewed, and your notification preferences.

How we use it

To match you with scholarships you are actually eligible for and to explain which of your details produced that score.

To send the deadline reminders and new-match alerts you have switched on. You can turn these off at any time in notification settings.

To generate AI drafts (statement of purpose, essays, resume text, checklists) at your request, using the profile details and the scholarship you selected.

To keep the service secure and to fix faults.

Who can see your data

Your profile and your uploaded documents are locked to your account by database-level access rules. Other users cannot read them, and scholarship providers never receive them from us.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share your profile with advertisers.

Service providers that process data on our behalf: our cloud database and file storage host, our email delivery provider for reminders, and the AI provider that generates drafts you request.

Advertising and cookies

Free pages show advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads, and in some regions to personalise them. You can manage this at google.com/settings/ads or through your browser's cookie controls.

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme and hold your comparison list. These cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in.

Children

School students use the service, often under 18. We only collect the academic details needed for eligibility, and we ask that a parent, guardian or school supervises account creation for students under 13.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your data while your account exists. Delete individual documents any time from the Document Locker.

To delete your whole account and everything in it, write to support@scholarx.ai from your registered email. We erase profile data, documents, saved awards and application records within 30 days.

Your rights

You can view and correct your profile at any time, export your application records to a spreadsheet, and ask for a copy of your data or its deletion by contacting us.

If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page and, where it affects you, by email.
